As 2024 comes to a close, it’s the perfect opportunity to reflect on the past 12 months and celebrate our milestones and achievements, no matter how big or small. We asked our Dicker Data team to share some of their highlights. If you haven't already, we encourage you to take this time to reflect on the wins in what has a been a challenging year.
Janpaula Gonzi - National Inside Sales Manager
“The strong camaraderie within the team has been pivotal to our success, enabling us to excel despite increased workloads in an increasingly competitive market. It’s been a challenging year for our Inside Sales Team, with longer sales cycles that can be exhausting yet rewarding at the same time. Our goal was centred around introducing new vendors to our resellers. We love hearing, 'We didn’t know you sold that!' Our goal was to assist our resellers in seeking new opportunities through vendors that they traditionally don’t work with. We wanted to showcase the vast range of inter-connected hardware, software and services that we offer to support their growth. This year we listened, actioned and evolved as a team. We’ve involved staff in decision making on how we managed our work and how we can better support each other and our customers. We tried and tested different ideas, reassessed outcomes and modified our processes. My highlight this year is my people!”
Sarah Loiterton - General Manager, Microsoft Cloud
“Reflecting on the past year, our primary focus has been on empowering our partners through upskilling and building greater capacity, especially as advancements in AI and security have reshaped the landscape. The market has demanded rapid evolution, and we've worked hard to provide the tools and platforms to support this transformation. From comprehensive training sessions to access to leading-edge technologies, our goal has been to ensure our partners are not only equipped to adapt but also to lead. With that goal in mind, we’ve sponsored over 500 individuals across over 100 partners to take Microsoft Training and Certifications related to Security and AI in 2024. The accelerated pace of change has highlighted the importance of continuous learning and development, and I’m incredibly proud of how our teams and partners have embraced this journey. By focusing on AI and security enablement, we’ve laid a solid foundation for future growth, positioning ourselves and our partners to take advantage of emerging opportunities in the market. These new skills and capabilities will be critical as we navigate this exciting new era of technology. As we look forward to the new year, I'm excited to see how these capabilities translate into real-world impact. We’ll be putting our hard-earned skills to the test, driving more co-selling initiatives, and doubling down on customer acquisition. As we come out of a period of economic challenge, we are well-prepared to embrace new technologies and seize growth opportunities. The foundation we’ve built positions us to deliver significant value, and I can’t wait to see our partners thrive in the ever-evolving digital landscape.”

Pennie Stevens - General Manager - Software
“Year after year our Software offerings continue to grow and 2024 was no different. This year we created new partnerships with Adobe and BlackBerry Cybersecurity, making their solutions readily available to our channel community. We have also worked with more resellers than we ever have in assisting them with their business in 2024. I am so thrilled that the Dicker Data Software unit has been recognised by a few of our vendors with awards this year.
Our very own Adam Thurtell, Technical Presales Specialist, won the Nutanix APJ Excellence award. My team has also been involved in supporting community and charity initiatives, with "Every Little Bit Helps – Giving back to people in need” and hosting an OzHarvest Food Drive at our Kurnell offices in August and then working with the OzHarvest team onsite to prepare meals in November.”

“I’ve had a fantastic first 12 months at Dicker Data, and the energy across the channel has been truly inspiring. This year, we’ve worked hard to strengthen business agility and foster a growth mindset, embracing new opportunities and AI innovations from Microsoft. A personal highlight for me has been the deepened collaboration with our partners, as we’ve aligned closely on growth strategies and crafted tailored plans to help them expand their Microsoft practices, while also launching new partnerships and driving meaningful P2P engagements within the channel. A standout moment was the Microsoft and Dicker Data Partner Advisory Council, where we partnered with Microsoft experts and Dicker Data partners over two days to engage in meaningful discussions around enhancing Microsoft Security Practices. Looking ahead to 2025, I’m excited to continue driving this momentum, empowering our partners to seize new opportunities, embrace innovation, and achieve even greater success together.”

“Our Staging Team has completed an infrastructure upgrade, providing us with increased capacity and flexibility to manage the 30+ types of technology that we stage for our partners annually. Over 700 partners used our Staging Services while "Education Season” has seen volumes of hardware increase significantly, and the number of end users is continuing to grow.”
Ruth Minchew - 3PL Operations Manager
“I am thrilled that the dedication and outstanding customer service demonstrated by 3PL, and the project delivery team, led to the successful renewal of contracts with our long-standing 3PL partners, as well as the signing of three new long-term agreements. We dispatched over 32,000 orders and managed over 260,000 items. We also welcomed the opening of the warehouse extension, which has positioned 3PL to pursue larger opportunities in 2025.”

“We're incredibly proud of our Dicker Data hardware team for their hard work and dedication to our partners and vendors this year. We spent valuable time strengthening existing relationships and building new ones. Being recognised for our efforts in what has been a challenging year for many is special. We were honoured to be named Distributor of the Year by Lenovo, Dell Technologies, APC by Schneider Electric, Barco, HP Poly, and also received the Value-Added Distributor of the Year award from Logitech. For the 12th consecutive year, our Dicker Data team was crowned ARN Hardware Distributor of the Year! A personal highlight was seeing our very own Chantelle Stapleton win ARN’s Marketing Excellence award. A well-deserved recognition for her tiresome work. It was also extremely rewarding to be named the preferred B2B Samsung MX Mobility distributor."
Greg Maher - National Credit Manager
“My key highlight of 2024 is the team. I am proud of how the Accounts Receivable team operate, react and perform. If someone is away, team members volunteer to cover the workload. Often, the absent staff member’s tasks are completed by the team without needing to ask. The other team highlight was our Xmas BBQ. This marked the first time in two years, our whole team, including those living interstate, were together. I would have to say my personal highlight was a consistent year in the Friday Golf Putting competition, serious highlight would be the Team’s performance.”
Andrew Cameron - Business Manager - Volume Cisco & Pure
"One of our standout moments this year was Dicker Data being honoured as the Creativity Distributor of the Year by ARN. This recognition came because of our successful nationwide Cisco Security Roadshow, which attracted over 500 partners and featured insights from Cyber Intelligence expert Ben Owen. Additionally, our Dicker Data Cisco team dedicated significant time to community initiatives throughout the year. You can read more about our charitable efforts here. Dicker Data Cisco’s Mission: Giving Back and Making an Impact. A standout moment for our Pure Storage team was winning two of the five individual awards in the region. Vladimir Mitnovetski was named Pure Storage APJ Executive of the year and Meenakshi Jaglan (MJ) won the APJ Marketer of the year accolade. We are always looking to add value to our partners and the broader channel community when we engage. To underscore our commitment - we are proud to say that Dicker Data has provided Cisco and Pure Storage training to over 900 people via webinars during the year, and a further 1,000 partners in face-to-face events. As a reward for our top performing Cisco partners, we took them on a once in a lifetime trip to experience a live NBA All-Stars Finals game in Indianapolis.”
