Designation Training Pathways

Overview of Certification & Training Pathways

Creating a specific certification-focused training program for a team of IT technicians is important for several reasons: 

1. Skill Validation: Certification programs validate the skills and knowledge of your technicians, ensuring they meet industry standards.  

2. Increased Productivity: Certified IT professionals are often more productive.  

3. Closing Skills Gaps: Certification training helps eliminate skills gaps within your team. 

4. Employee Motivation and Retention: Offering certification opportunities can boost employee motivation and job satisfaction.  

5. Competitive Advantage: Having a team of certified technicians can give your organisation a competitive edge.  

6. Compliance and Security: In industries like healthcare and finance, certifications are often required to comply with regulations and maintain high security standards. 

7. Professional Growth and Career Advancement: Certifications provide a clear pathway for career advancement.

As we discussed in the first lesson, this Security based designation has two prerequisite exams, that need to be achieved by four individuals (Enterprise) or two individuals (SMB) in total, followed by a combination of the following, track dependant: 

• Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect expert 
• Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator 
• Microsoft Information Protection Administrator

Available Training 

To confirm, Dicker Data can provide access to 1: many training programs for these two prerequisite exams, through our training partner. In our next lesson we will outline how you can request training from us if you prefer this option.  

You are also welcome to use your own provider or training method.

How Do These Exams Align To The Healthcare Industry?  

As we outlined in Lesson 2.3, its important that we align the three key areas of the business, into a common direction.   

As we have done for the sales and business teams, in the previous module, let’s determine and align our technical focus against the Healthcare Industry, matching to the sales team messaging, designed to significantly improve business profitability.  

We will also provide details on how these exams, align against all 5 industries in the download section. 

By examining the objectives and their importance to the Healthcare sector, it is crucial for the technical team to implement and support these aligned outcomes – in the best interests of the business. 

This capability will enable the business to achieve long-term profitability by incorporating 'Net Customer Adds' into the organisation, and ensuring the implementation delivers on the outcome required by the customer. 

Without this, we cannot work in the same direction, potentially pulling the business in to a ‘development impasse’ discussed in Lesson 2.3.
