And we can help you get set up to receive commission when selling Telstra – we’ll guide you through the process, arrange payments for you and track payments on your behalf.

Commission Management

We put a lot of time and effort into ensuring Telstra’s agency model of paying commissions works for our resellers. There are currently two types of commission structure in place, with a third to be rolled out in 2021.

Types of commission structure:

  1. Staged payments – this spreads your payment out across two time periods. 50% is paid on submission of an order, with the remaining 50% paid on completion of the project.
  2. 100% on completion – some scenarios call for 100% of the commission payment to be made at the completion of a project.
  3. Trailing commission – this option is already in place for Cloud and Mobile, and will apply to Adaptive Networks solutions from 2021. Commissions will be split across submission of order, completion of project and then trailing thereafter.

We also offer two distinct payment methods, which allows you to choose the best option for your business at the time of payment:

  1. EFT (electronic funds transfer) – your Dicker Data Telstra Commissions Manager can help ensure these payments are made into your nominated back account.
  2. Credit notes – alternatively, you have the option of Telstra commissions being applied to your Dicker Data account as a credit note. This is a great way to clear any outstanding invoices or bank up some credit for future purchases.

If you’re interested in learning more about the different types of commissions and payment methods, our team will happily answer any questions you have.
