Driving Revenue with Microsoft Cloud Partner2Partner Portal

Dicker Data’s newly formed Microsoft Cloud business unit led by Sarah Loiterton is laser focused on digital transformation across both the partner channel and Australian SMB – SMC landscape. We are encouraging partners to embrace being specialised and productise their capability and in return we can all benefit for new customers activations and we can retina our relevance in market by addressing the customer need.

Noting the accelerating trend in small to medium businesses moving to cloud, the Dicker Data Microsoft Cloud team identified an opportunity to help their partners keep up with the bourgeoning demand.

We don't want our partners walking away from opportunities that are there on the table for them right now, explains Sarah Loiterton, GM Microsoft Cloud Unit, Dicker Data. “With approximately 1000 Microsoft CSP resellers working with us… we can facilitate an introduction with another partner that has a very refined solution that addresses a customer's needs or a vertical,” says Loiterton.

Built on Microsoft's Power Platform, the P2P portal is a teaming platform that brings together resellers with Solutions Partners that have offerings in a specific Microsoft Cloud or customer segment.

Why should partners use it? 

The Partner2Parter portal addresses partner needs in 2 ways;

  1. For the highly specialised Microsoft certified partner; the portal allows you to showcase your offerings to the Dicker Data partner network and broaden your reach into market segments and customers you may never had access too.
  2. For partners with customer requests outside of their skillset or bandwidth, the portal offers a host of Dicker Data vetted, Microsoft Certified service providers to help you meet your customers’ needs and retain the business as the trusted advisor.

How does it work? 

Dicker Data partners can access the portal here, sign in via their Dicker Data account login and set up their profile. For those looking to promote services, you can start your journey as a Solutions Partner here. Once setting up a new account a Dicker Data representative will help you through the application process.

Indirect resellers looking to partner with Solutions Partners can set up their profile in the same way and start browsing providers in the Partner Locator. 

Partners can then engage and get started working on opportunities together. The portal also includes an opportunity tracker as well as a comprehensive library of resources, templates and guides on partner to partner collaboration such as Non-Disclosure Agreement Templates and Partnering Playbooks from both Dicker Data and Microsoft.

Why now? 

“We’ve pivoted in this ecosystem to a more collaborative approach, people understand that they can't be everything to everyone. And so, embracing that collaboration and true partnership is a strategy that Microsoft is employing themselves as well and encouraging us to communicate and collaborate more,” Loiterton shares.
