Dicker Data Cisco’s Mission: Giving Back and Making an Impact

Giving back to the community is an important commitment for our Dicker Data Cisco team. Throughout the past year, we’ve been inspired to use our resources and expertise to help communities build a brighter future. In 2024, we’ve partnered with incredible organisations that are making a significant impact for those in need.

A heartfelt start

Our 2024 journey began with a donation of 70 school bags to underprivileged children, made possible through our partnership with the Dandelion Support Network Charity. Each bag was filled with essential supplies, designed to brighten the lives of these children and provide them with the tools they need for their education.

Making an impact through collaboration

This year, we’ve been focused on maximising our impact in every possible way. Our Dicker Data Cisco Security Roadshow provided the perfect opportunity for a collaboration with B1G1. We integrated this initiative seamlessly into our program which included 500+ delegates from across Australia. The support shown across the country has made a remarkable difference in our communities and environment, enabling us to contribute to several causes: Together, we achieved the following:

• Provided 500 days of Digital Skills Training for Aboriginal Communities, empowering individuals with valuable technology skills.
• Planted 250 trees in the Daintree Rainforest, helping to preserve this vital ecosystem.
• Supplied 15,000 days of life-saving water provided to those in need, ensuring access to clean water.

These efforts represent just a few ways we are working to make a difference and giving back to the communities that support us!

Continuing the effort – Help for Australia’s homeless

Building on these efforts, we are excited to share our current project in partnership with Will2Live. During our TechX 2024 events, we assembled 750 essential bags for homeless individuals across Australia. Each bag includes daily-use toiletries and other necessary items.
